Cheesy Instant Pot Farfalle

This Cheesy Instant Pot Farfalle is so easy you’ll be putting it into your monthly or weekly rotation! Let me start off by saying that you can really use any noodle that you please but I felt the Farfalle “bowtie” or “butterfly” pasta was fun and the kids enjoyed it!

This new year I am all about ease and convenience and this dish is one of those things. If you have not heard I received a bunch of new gadgets for Christmas. ( I LOVE a good kitchen gadget!) I have been alternating using them all month so far and I love them all!

One of the things that I hate about boiling pasta is watching the noodle pot boil. You feel me? I always end up filling the pot to high, or the heat is too much, or it boils over. I swear any time I cook pasta this happens. (If you have any tips for that let me know!)

Some nights I really don’t feel like cooking or I wait too late to decide what we are going to eat. So I end up staring in my pantry and I always fall pack onto a pasta dish. Its something easy and classic I know everyone will eat.

My step mother told me that cooking a pasta dish in the Instant Pot was a breeze, so I wiped this up and I am so glad I did! This cheesy pot of deliciousness will satisfy your craving for carbs and make you go back for seconds.

The thing I love most about this Cheesy Instant Pot Farfalle is that it uses basic ingredients, takes virtually no time, and has an easy clean up.

Cheesy Instant Pot Farfalle

Description

If you love a creamy pasta dish and minimal clean up this dish is for you!


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb Ground Beef
  • 1 Tbsp Dried Chopped Onion
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Italian Seasoning
  • 1/8 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1/8 tsp Red Pepper
  • 1 (24 oz) jar Marinara Sauce of your choice
  • 1 (14.5 oz) Can Diced Tomatoes undrained
  • 8 oz uncooked Pasta Noodles (I used Farfalle)
  • 1 1/2 Cups Water
  • 3 oz Neufchatel Cheese
  • 2/3 Cup Parmesan Cheese
  • 8 oz Shredded Italian Cheese Blend
  • Chopped Fresh Parsley

Instructions

  1. Coat inside your Instant Pot with cooking spray
  2. Add ground beef, turn Instant Pot to Sauté and cook your beef until the pink is gone
  3. Stir in dried onion, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, black pepper, and red pepper
  4. Turn Instant Pot off From Sauté Mode and dump in pasta sauce, diced tomatoes,1 1/2 Cups water, and pasta noodles
  5. Stir to combine and submerge the pasta
  6. Lock the Instant Pot lid and High Pressure cook for 10 min.
  7. While pasta is cooking mix together Neufchatel Cheese and 1/3 Cup of Parmesan Cheese. Set aside
  8. Use quick Pressure release and check done ness of pasta. ( you can always re cook for 3-5 more minutes if pasta is not done)
  9. Once Pasta is done our off cooker and stir in Parmesan Cheese mixture, recover and let sit for 5 min
  10. Stir and serve with Parmesan Cheese and Parsley

Notes

  • You can use any pasta you would like
  • If you can not find Neufchatel Cheese use cream cheese
