Hello Fall! The leaves in Utah have changed and we probably only have 2 more weeks of the beautiful fall foliage. I have made the family take countless drives up the canyon to wonder at natures beauty! I think they are finally ready for some snow!

Right now we are all seeing pumpkin this and pumpkin that and I am all for pumpkin and pumpkin spice but right now I am loving this Chai spice blend and I have to put it in everything. Just think Chai late but in a pound cake! This Chai Pound Cake is Quick and easy to make. I bet you have all the ingredients in your pantry already!

Chai Pound Cake with Chai Frosting

Description

This Chia bread will have you ready for the fall months ahead!


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2/3 Cup Sugar
  • 2/3 Cup Milk
  • 3 Eggs
  • 1 Tbsp Vanilla Extract
  • 2 1/4 Cup Flour
  • 1 tsp +1/2 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp Nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp Cloves
  • 1/4 tsp ginger
  • 12 Tbsp Butter, Soft

Frosting

  • 6 oz Cream Cheese, Soft
  • 4 Tbsp Butter, Soft
  • 12 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 23 Cups Powdered Sugar
  • 1/8 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp Nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp Ginger
  • 1/4 tsp Cloves

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven to 325 degrees, prepare 8 1/2 x 4 1/2 Loaf Pan with parchment paper. Set aside
  2. In medium bowl whisk together Milk, Eggs, and Vanilla. Set aside
  3. In mixer beat Flour, Sugar, Baking Powder, Salt, and Spices on low
  4. Add in butter and mix until peas size ball foarm
  5. Pour half of the Egg mixture into Flour mixture, scrape down sides of bowl then pour in the rest
  6. Beat until just incorporated
  7. Pour into your prepared pan
  8. Bake for 60-70 min or until inverted toothpick comes out clean
  9. Let Loaf cool completely before frosting

For Frosting

  1. Beat butter and Cream Cheese until smooth
  2. Reduce speed and add in half the Powdered Sugar
  3. Add Vanilla, Salt, and Spices. Blend.
  4. Add more Powdered Sugar until you reach the consistency you like. I like mine thick!
  5. Spread on Cake and Enjoy!
  • Cook Time: 60-70 min
